Hua Hin, beach on the Gulf of Siam is very popular with locals and international tourists, mainly due to the flat stretches of beach. There are plenty of things to do and is easily accessible from Bangkok.
The beach slopes very gently into the gulf, so while it’s not the best beach for swimming, it’s a great place for families with small children.
Hua Hin beach stretches about 4 km from the town centre to Khao Takiab and is well know for its spectacular sunrises. Hua Hin beach is never overcrowded and you can always find a nice quiet spot.
The name Hua Hin (Head Stone), is derived from the rock formations seen on the beach.
The white sand makes it one of the best beach stretches on the Gulf of Siam. Some parts of the beach can be tranquil but activities such as horse riding, kite boarding, and water sports can also be found there.
If you want to relax there are plenty of deck chairs, sun loungers and beach umbrellas available for a small hourly charge.
You can also get food on the beach, which is prepared from fresh vegetables and many varieties of fresh seafood. The food is usually prepared on the beach for you. You must try the King Prawns, not only are they huge, but cooked to perfection. The taste of them, combined with a sweet chili dip is incredible, and you will leave craving for more. Wash them down with an iced cool Singha beer and you will think you are in heaven.
